is the best time of the year for diving? |
You
can dive the Red Sea all year round. |
What
sort of equipment is provided on board?
|
Tanks, weights and belts. Rental dive gear is available
before sailing. Charges at 30€ per day for a full gear.
Torches for night dives might be rented on board during
the trip. |
What is the water temperature? Do I need a wet suit?
|
From January to April you will need a full 6mm wet suit
as the water could cool down to 19°C. From July to October
with a water temperature of app. 26°C a 3mm wet suit
will be sufficient. |
How
much diving experience do I need?
|
Diving
in the Northern Red Sea is relatively easy in favorable conditions,
even newly certified divers will have no trouble. VIP One
Instructors offer PADI continuing education on board. |
What
is meant by unlimited diving?
|
Unlimited
diving means that you can go diving any time the boat is
not in transit and according to diving safety rules. You
can dive up to 4 times a day. |
Can
I do wreck diving?
|
In the Northern routes you will discover the most popular
wrecks in the Red Sea: the Thistlegorm, a military World
War II supply ship, and Dunraven, a steam and sail-powered
vessel which used to transport spice and timber. The Wreck
of Chrisoula K., a Greek cargo ship, and the Giannis D.,
are located at Sha'ab Abu Nahas in the Straits of Gubal.
Wreck diving depends on the weather condition. |
Can
I have privacy on board?

and spacious social area, elegant cabins with queen-sized
beds and en-suite bathroom. |

kind of cuisine is served?

You
are offered a delicious choice of Egyptian and international
meals. They can be enjoyed at your leisure in the air-conditioned
dining room or on the sun-deck. |

can I do apart from diving? |
VIP
One is equipped with a Sound system, TV / VCR and a large
selection of video tapes. You can choose to relax on the
sun-deck listening to the music or reading a book in the
lounge. |

at 20-69-600145/245 from 8 am to 6 pm daily/local time or
by fax at 20-69-600144. |

First Aid and Oxygen material available? |
Yes,
and our crew is fully qualified to use it. |
| Where is the nearest Recompression Chamber located? |
In
Sharm El Sheikh there is a state of the art Recompression
Chamber with highly qualified doctors to run it. A special
diving insurance is highly recommended.
