The Far South has always had a reputation for sharks and schooling predators such as barracuda. The reefs in Far South are brimming with vibrant coral growth, with a density and pristine quality unseen in the North.

Zabargad is a major island situated to the Southeast of the city of Port Berenice. It is commonly used as a base for exploring Rocky Island. Zabargad offers an excellent range of reef features in relatively shallow water, so the site is often used for night dives.

Rocky Island is a triangular-shaped island that emerges from the surface at about twenty minutes sail from Zabargad. Currents bring in hammerheads, grey reef sharks and mantas. Because of its remoteness, Rocky Islands offers dives that can be compared, in the Red Sea, only to Brothers Islands, Dedalus Reef, and Ras Mohamed.
